On today’s show, we’re taking on one of our most ambitious projects ever. We want to show you how to build the world’s best landing page for your product or service using AI, and how you can do that in literally one hour. We’re going to break down the prompts, the steps, the tools — everything you need to go and build the best landing page you’ve ever built. Let’s get to today’s show.

On this show, we’re going to show you how to build the world’s best landing page, with a couple of secret tips that we’re going to give away. The first one is this: anytime you want to build something, you should create extensive style guides or templates using deep research. Not many people know how to do this, and not many people are actually doing it.

The reason you do that is that deep research can create really extensive style guides and guiding principles for how to do things. The way I think about it is that it’s like an entire book created just for the thing you want to build.

We’ll give this prompt away because you’re loyal listeners. This is the deep research prompt template. The secret sauce here is that anytime you get a working prompt, you should create a GPT assistant. Then anytime you want that prompt again, you just say to the assistant, “Hey, I want to do this thing. Can you create a prompt?” Anytime I want a deep research prompt, it will recreate this template that works really well.

Kieran, hold on — I think the GPT assistant thing you just mentioned lost some people. We should do a full follow-on show on how to create a GPT assistant for your best prompts.

If you want that show, leave a comment and hit subscribe, and we’ll do that soon. But for right now, you’ve found a really great landing page.

I’ll quickly give a synopsis of what’s in this deep research prompt. First is context. Context really matters. You want to clearly set the context of what the task is. In this case, it’s about being a senior UX strategist who’s very knowledgeable about landing pages.

Second is objectives. You want to be very clear about what you want it to produce, because we’re trying to build the world’s best landing page, not just any landing page.

Then there are deliverable requirements. This includes the structure you want it to return: an executive summary, core principles, copywriting frameworks, visual hierarchy, mobile-first and responsive best practices, and a lot of other really interesting things. It even includes a wireframe template — how it should break out the wireframe and other components. It’s very detailed.

This is what I get back. It’s basically a structured template of best practices and guiding principles for how to build a high-converting SaaS landing page. I also reference people I think are really good at this in the deep research prompt so the model learns from them.

This thing is 30 pages long. It’s a novel. It’s an entire book written just for me on how to create incredible landing pages.

What most people do is say, “Hey ChatGPT, I’m a SaaS brand in the event space and I want a cool landing page that drives conversions.” Their results are inferior because I’m giving the AI a 33-page template to work from.

You can create personalized informational books for yourself based on exactly what you want included. What you’re really doing is teaching the AI assistant to work the way you work.

So here’s the flow. We use deep research to create an extensive template. Then we use Gemini 2.5 Pro to take that template and build the outline of a landing page, including all the copy. Then we use one of our favorite tools, Lovable, to actually create the landing page. At the end, we apply some secret-sauce visual styling in a way that almost no one else is doing.

This is the first part. I’m going to send my little novel over to Kipp, who’s going to pass it to Gemini and start building the landing page.

We now have what I think is the most comprehensive rundown of what makes landing pages great, specifically for SaaS technology companies. But you could do this for any market, any industry, or any region. You’d just tweak the deep research accordingly.

People are probably thinking, “Okay, but how do I do that? What’s the deep research prompt?” We’re going to give you the prompt. It’ll be in the comments or the description.

We recently released a show on Gemini 2.5 Pro. I broke down why I think it builds the best marketing strategies of any model today. I did a deep research project and showed how to build that strategy in Gemini. If you haven’t watched that yet, go watch it — it’ll help you understand what we’re doing here.

If you’re following along and want to do this yourself, HubSpot has put all of these prompts and directions into one guide. You can use your favorite AI tool — Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT — to build stunning, results-driven landing pages at lightning speed.

I took the deep research I used to build a strategy in Gemini — a massive project focused on HubSpot Customer Agent, which is our AI agent for customer support and inquiries. I asked Gemini to help me build a great strategy. Gemini 2.5 Pro delivered an incredible one. It defined the target audience, key decision makers, value proposition, messaging pillars, channels, and success metrics.

I didn’t give it any proprietary information. You could do this for any product on the internet.

From there, you can ask Gemini to build out detailed versions of any element — social posts, emails, whatever you want.

I then took the landing page best-practice research and said, “Use this research and the strategy you outlined to build the best possible landing page for HubSpot Customer Agent.” It used all those best practices to generate a highly qualified landing page designed to drive qualified leads.

The output is text — essentially a natural wireframe. Gemini is excellent at reasoning, but it’s not multimodal yet. So what you get is a very detailed text-based wireframe: hero section, visuals, CTAs, differentiation, FAQs, final CTA, footer, and even implementation notes like A/B testing, page speed, and form behavior.

At this point, we’re probably 30 to 40 minutes of actual work in. We’re showing you how to build the world’s best landing page in under an hour.

We’re not just building a landing page — we’re also applying different visual styles. Lovable applies its own styling first, and then we experiment with other styles.

While Kieran was working in Lovable, I dropped the same prompt into ChatGPT to see what it would generate. ChatGPT did better than I expected, but it’s still limited when handling large volumes of text and layout.

The real move is Claude. I gave Claude the same information and asked it to build the landing page. The copy was surprisingly strong for a one-shot draft. It included CTAs, feature sections, proof points, logo placeholders, testimonials, G2 ratings, and even SOC 2 compliance.

Then we took that insight back into Lovable, applied a refined copywriting template, and the copy dramatically improved — shorter, punchier, and more value-driven.

At that point, we had a page we would ship, maybe with a few minor tweaks.

Then we experimented with visual styling. You can also run deep research to generate full creative style guides for brands — colors, logos, imagery, iconography. I did this for HubSpot using only public information. You can do this for any brand you admire.

I took that style guide, dropped it into Claude, and asked it to restyle the page. The design became much more on-brand, though we’d still want to fine-tune the copy.

To recap the steps: we built a deep research template for high-converting B2B SaaS landing pages. We gave that to Gemini 2.5 Pro, which generated the structure and copy. We moved that into Lovable and built the first version. We refined the copy using a separate copywriting template derived from legendary copywriters. We tested versions in Claude and Lovable. Then we experimented with visual styling using brand-level research.

What’s clear is this: you can build the world’s best landing page with AI in under an hour. What used to take days or weeks and multiple teams can now be done incredibly fast. We didn’t use a single traditional design or landing page tool. The final step would simply be hosting it in something like HubSpot.

That’s the show. We walked through the entire process, shared a ton of secret sauce, and showed you how to use AI to build an incredible landing page in less than an hour. We’ll see you soon on the next episode of Marketing Against the Grain.
